Introduction
In 1996, the Computer Studies Center was established. In 2004, the University Council recommended upgrading the center to a faculty. Starting in 2004, the center began offering a three-year technical diploma program. The faculty was officially established by the National Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research through Resolution No. (159) in 2014.
The fields of computer science, information technology, and information systems are among the largest and fastest-growing globally, requiring qualified scientists and professionals to develop advanced technologies in computers, communications, networks, and software development. There is also an urgent need for specialized cadres to join the labor market and keep pace with the latest scientific and technical advancements. Those who possess knowledge and its technologies can achieve great success. To keep up with the rapid changes in this field, we need highly skilled and academically proficient personnel capable of optimizing the use of technology.

Programs Offered
The faculty adopts the model curriculum for Computer Science and Information Technology faculties prepared by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It offers the following degrees:

Thus, the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology was established at Dilling University, based on the approval of the University Council.

This department offers a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Computer Science over ten semesters. The program includes various projects and practical applications across multiple domains of computer usage in daily life.
Information Systems
The Information Systems curriculum integrates solutions for information systems with business processes to meet institutional information needs and help achieve goals effectively. This discipline focuses on information and views technology as a tool to produce and distribute required information. The department awards a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in ten semesters.
Information Technology
This department aims to equip students with comprehensive scientific tools to play an active role in developing information technology and keeping pace with the latest advancements in the field. The department awards a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in ten semesters.
Diploma in Information Technology
This department provides specialized graduates in information and its technologies, enabling them to pursue self-learning, personal development, and keep up with global advancements in IT. The program offers a technical diploma in Information Technology over six academic semesters (three years).
